    Java Jive Jazz

    Formed from a devoted core of Minot musicians "JAVA JIVE JAZZ" has been working steadily since its inception in 2005. 10 N Main, a resaturant across from the old train station is where the group can be heard from 7:30 to 10:30 pm usually on the 1st Friday and Saturday of each month.

    THE INSPIRATION:
    A combination of the pop music of the fourties, fifties and sixties (Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, etc.).

    THE REPERTOIRE:
    An unabashed celebration of American popular and jazz songs, with emphasis on the melody.

    THE SOUND:
    A light west coast jazz touch.

    THE ARTISTS:
    Steve Veikley, Leader, Trumpeter & Vocalist
    The founder of "JAVA JIVE JAZZ". Steve arranges the music & leads the band.
