Singer/songwriter, Dave Kinnoin the “SongWizard” will perform at the Sibyl Center in Stanley on Saturday, October 8 at 2pm.

If you don't yet know the name Dave Kinnoin, you probably know his work which includes writing, singing, voiceover and full production work. Kinnoin consistently creates new and innovative material for a long list of family entertainment and educational companies including Jim Henson TV, Disney, Simon and Shuster, Sesame Street, Sony Home Video, and Children's Television Workshop.

Kinnoin will feature songs from his 7 CDs and dozens of other projects (Disney, Muppets, and more). He performs at many Character Counts! school assemblies and is the writer, producer, and singer of the “Character Counts! Week” theme song. Currently he is writing and producing jingles for the Josephson Institute of Ethics, the nonprofit behind Character Counts!. Since 2005 Kinnoin has conducted a popular elementary teacher’s workshop called “Music-Injected Language” that helps support all curricula.

A big kid at heart, and sincere advocate for children, he writes what a kid would--if only that kid had his ability to write--for an audience that often appreciates it the most. It's not just that voice that resonates with kids, it's the attitude; here's a grown-up who understands and tells it just like it is.

His appearance is sponsored in part by Stanley City Library and proceeds will go to benefit both the Sibyl Center and the library. The Sibyl Center is at 301 1st St. SW in Stanley.
