The Land of Lakes Choirboys is perhaps one of the youngest touring choirs
with its members ranging age from 8 to 13. The choir embarks on an annual
twenty-one day summer tour. The choirboys have performed throughout the
world over the course of its 36-year history. Having been founded in 1976
with a starting membership of eighteen boys the Land of Lakes Choirboys has
grown to its existing six choirs with over
115 boys. The LOLCB choir set to perform at the Sibyl Center is the Nordic
    Choir consisting of 28 boys.

Their training can begin as young as five years old and may continue through
voice change at which time they are encouraged to join the Schola Cantorum
(men’s chorus). The boys are not only educated in the area of music theory,
sight-singing, recorder and in-depth vocal technique but they also are
taught about leadership, appropriate behavior, and traditional manners. The
choir’s motto is “Music, Respect and Honor” and the boys, as they grow into
fine young men, come to understand how important this motto is in life.

The Land of Lakes Choirboys’ mission is to enrich the lives of boys by
teaching excellence in choral music and self-discipline, thus preserving the
heritage of boy choirs. Learn more about the choirboys at www.lolcb.org.
Come enjoy the wonderful sound of “angel voices” as the Land of Lakes
Choirboys lift your soul through their gift of music.

The Sibyl Center is located at 301 1st St. SW, Stanley. For more
