    Shan Cunningham of Minot, ND is a self-taught botanist and nature photographer. His pictures reflect elements of his complex background: Green Beret medic, firefighter, atuto extrication rescuer, control burn specialist, scientist bent on preserving rare wild plants, blended with a unique Buddist world view. Shan's vision coalesces to produce revelations of the natural world through his camera lens.Ranging from the simplicity of a pine cone to stunning sunrises, Antartic penguins, and a buffalo so close you can see the ringlets of curls, Shan's photography opens a world often unseen. Shan and his wife, Kathleen, formed Stillpoint in 1996 to market his photography as notecards, gift enclosure cards, giclee prints, and stock photography. Stillpoint sells products, wholesale and retail
