The evening of "Myth and Legends" begins with the  "Sorcerer's Apprentice" by Dukas. You will feel the magic in the wild and fantastic work of Modest Mussorgky, " Night on a Bald Mountain". The stories of Mother Goose are brought to life in the music of Maurice Ravel. This concert will conclude with a bang as the famous 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky rings out through the hall.

      I have come to expect a wonderful evening from the MSO and Maestro Dennis Simons, but this was spectacular! It was gratifying that it was a sold-out show, since the musicians were right on form. Even... Expand

      I have come to expect a wonderful evening from the MSO and Maestro Dennis Simons, but this was spectacular! It was gratifying that it was a sold-out show, since the musicians were right on form. Even cannonfire for the 1812! I'm looking forward to the Pops Concert. Collapse
